When floor grinders are in operation, different floor surfaces and abrasives require varying rotational speeds.
Variable-frequency, remote-controlled, power-off-resume grinders use a variable-frequency drive to adjust the motor’s rotational speed, allowing the grinding speed to be flexibly adjusted according to working conditions.
How Variable Frequency Speed Control Works
The variable frequency drive converts the input AC power into a current with adjustable frequency to drive the motor. Operators can adjust the output frequency via the control panel or remote control to change the grinding disc speed. The speed is reduced for fine grinding and increased for coarse grinding or large-area operations, allowing the equipment to adapt to the needs of different processes.
Introduction of Remote Control Operation
The remote control function allows operators to control the grinder’s start/stop, speed adjustment, and direction of travel from a distance. In environments with high dust levels or limited visibility, remote operation reduces direct contact between personnel and the equipment.
Power Outage Continuity Design
The machine is equipped with a power storage unit that maintains operation for a short period or ensures a safe shutdown in the event of an external power failure. This design allows the grinder to complete its operation smoothly during sudden power outages, preventing damage to the floor caused by an abrupt stop of the grinding disc.
The combination of variable-frequency speed control, remote operation, and power outage continuity provides an adjustable, remotely controllable power solution for floor grinding operations.
