Floor grinders are specialized pieces of equipment designed for surface preparation of concrete, stone, terrazzo, and other flooring materials. Based on their power source, they can be broadly categorized into two main types: internal combustion-powered and electric-powered.
Internal combustion-powered floor grinders use an internal combustion engine as their power source and are suitable for large-area operations in outdoor or open spaces where power outlets are unavailable. Electric-powered floor grinders, on the other hand, use an electric motor to drive the grinding disc and are currently the most widely used type. Within the electric-powered category, there are two subtypes: battery-powered and AC-powered. Battery-powered models are free from the constraints of power cords, allowing for greater mobility; AC-powered models provide continuous and stable power output, making them suitable for prolonged, continuous operation.
Different drive types correspond to different application scenarios, and users can select the appropriate model based on their construction environment and operational requirements.
