In the field of stone care, a crystal polishing machine is a specialized piece of equipment used for surface treatment of stones such as marble and granite.
Through the friction between the polishing discs and the stone surface, combined with a crystal polishing agent, it induces physical and chemical changes in the stone’s surface layer, forming a glossy protective film.
Working Principle
The base of a crystallizing machine is equipped with multiple grinding discs, onto which abrasive pads or steel wool of various materials can be attached. When the machine is in operation, the grinding discs rotate continuously and rub against the stone surface. The heat generated causes the crystallizing agent to react with the minerals in the stone’s surface layer, forming a dense crystalline layer. This crystalline layer brings out the stone’s natural luster while enhancing the surface’s abrasion resistance and stain resistance.
Structural Features
A crystallizing machine typically consists of a motor, a set of grinding discs, a machine body, and an operating handle. The grinding discs are driven by gears or belts and are evenly distributed at the bottom of the machine body. The machine is equipped with counterweights to adjust the grinding pressure according to the hardness of the stone and the treatment requirements. Some models are equipped with a water tank that continuously supplies water during the grinding process to provide cooling and lubrication.
Applications
Polishing machines are primarily used for the renovation and routine maintenance of stone floors in locations such as hotel lobbies, shopping malls, and office buildings. Stone surfaces treated with this process exhibit enhanced gloss and are easier to clean on a daily basis.
By combining mechanical friction with chemical treatment, polishing machines restore the surface luster and texture of stone even after prolonged use.
